Fluorapatite with Ankerite and Magnesite, Salzburg, Austria, Cabinet-Sized Specimen

CM012

Approx. Dimensions: 2.07 in x 1.84 in x 1.0 in

Approx. Weight: 101 grams

A light pink square of fluorapatite is centered atop a block of Magnesite, a tiny flake of a mineral sandwiched in between larger minerals. The milky colored Magnesite is cubed with a glassy luster. Ankerite is attached to the Magnesite in flat, circular layers which build upon one another and are light brown in color. The Fluorapatite, though small, stands out against the muted colors of the other minerals. Miniature-sized specimen overall.
